Non-neclear war between NATO and Russia: how long does it stay non-nuclear?
Hey, so I just read a question on here asking what would have happened if nato had come to the aid of georgia when russia invaded. It made me wonder how long a war there would stay there. If NATO troops and aircraft had started killing russian planes tanks and soldiers, what would the ramifications be throughout the world? I could imagine a no fly zone imposed by NATO, and some naval action by Russia against NATO, certainly. Would we just lose all trade with Russia, and blow up some planes/aircraft carriers? And would nuclear weapons be used against carrier groups? Basically, would the battle remain tactical (the two sides fight in the region, but no theatre wide), or would each side start blowing up distant oil fields and communications?
Anyone actually in the know about the stuff want to chime in? I’d rather avoid answers like, “lol rusha wuld nuke u lolol”. Thanks!
What’s the difference between trading stocks and gambling?
I know some people are good at stocks but the fact is that it’s never guaranteed anything. Even the best can lose. So what I want to know is, how is this any different from gambling, besides the name. The principle is the same thing. My friend knew someone at work who lost millions in the stock market in one weekend and hung himself. I’m being dead serious, it’s dangerous just like gambling is. I’m pretty sure there are people addicted to it (stock markets). It IS gambling period . So why don’t they call it that?
Is their a diffrence between a stock trader and a investor?

What is the difference between option on stock index and option on a stock index future?
I understand what an option is. But what is the difference between option on the stock index and option on the stock index futures?
difference between currency futures & trading currency?
I know that in futures, we should have our money in the brokerage account as said in initial margin requirements for buying particular futures contract…..Then there will be specifications for the contract like contract size, tick size….Based on the Contract size and our betting will move…..If our bet was wrong then we will be losing money and once it reached the maintenance marigin , we get the marigin call to add funds to rebound to initial marigin……This is how futures work …correct?
1.Now, what is the dfference between currency futures and trading currency ?Does trading currency ordinarily involves same like initial marigin amount, contract size and maintenance marigin?
2.Now, does hedging in future contract does not have marigin requirements?Like Buy USD/AUD & Sell USD/AUD in two different trades? If yes, does hedging in all futures ( currency, index, interest ratesetc…) dont have marigin requirements?
Thank you .

What is the difference between a realized gain and an unrealized gain when it comes to trading stocks?
I just got a “realized gain” on a stock trade of $3.44. What does that mean? What are the factors used to determine a realized gain? A few days ago I had a “realized” gain of $400 on a stock trade. I am not sure what this means. Can somebody explain it to me in simple terms?
I am talking about stocks like PBR, WMT, AMZN.
