Can someone recommend me a good/fun free online trading card game?

08 Sep

I have been out of the trading card game scene since 2003, having played magic the gathering as well as the pokemon card game competitively. I’d like to have a trading card game fix once again but no longer willing to shelf out hundreds of dollars to enjoy playing so I turned to free online games.

I tried www.elementsthegame.com and it was pretty good but still wondering if other online tcgs are better.

Can someone recommend me other fun online tcgs?

best online brokerage for me?

07 Sep

I am looking to start trading some stock online; not as a day trader but just to try it out. I have a normal brokerage account via my bank, but I don’t like the too high brokerage fees and how it takes a while to process.

I want to buy and sell, but I don’t like to do it that often, no short selling or day trading (like I said).

I have heard of several options, like e*trade, options express, scottrade and such. But I do not know which one is for me.

Which one has the best prices commissions and other fees? would some charge me when I don’t trade often? how would payments go though (paypal or direct withdrawal/deposit)?

being a Business school guy, I can do my own research. so no need for that feature…but I am flexible.

any suggestions?

Online Stock Buy/Sell Order Execution Times?

03 Sep

I’d like to hear from people with experience with any of the major online trading firms like Ameritrade, ETrade, Scottrade, etc.

In your experience, how long has it typically taken the firm you use to execute orders to buy and sell stocks?

I ask because I have heard other people describe problems where their orders were not filled in a timely manner, possibly to benefit others by delaying their order.

I would like opinions as to which online trading firm is considered the most reliable for executing orders in a timely manner, and what the average time was.

It is very easy to lose a substantial amount of money when buy/sell orders are delayed, so I am trying to determine which firm has historically been the most reliable.

Thanks in advance for the help of all you stock gurus out there.

Looking for the proper stock broker. What is the best online stock broker for a beginner?

02 Sep

Hello. I’m a college student that has never traded online before, though I have a pretty good understanding of the stock market in general and a decent idea of how trading works. I have studied the growth of a company over a couple of years and I am very determined to buy some shares. I do not intend to spend much (maybe up to $1,000) since I am very certain that the company will continue to grow excessively for at least 8-10 years. My question – how can I make sure that I will pick the appropriate online stock broker for my needs? I do not intend to be very active in trading (and I think this is especially safe for someone who is just starting out like me) – practically, all I need is the service of a good, simple online stock broker in order to buy the shares and maintain them for a good amount of time. I researched as much as I could and I am drawn between Scottrade and Tradeking. They seem to be more than enough for what I need… Any advice is very welcome. Thank you!
