hello, i am 20 years old and would like to start trading stocks online, on my own account, without a broker or advisor.
What is the best, most trusted, and affordable way to trade stocks online? (ex: ameritrade, fidelity, …?)
Thank you.

You can’t without a broker. The sites you mention ARE brokerages.

I am not going to suggest a casino broker, but look for bank reliability and for rates.
TD I think has a good name

I think Scott Trade is the most user friendly for new traders. The phone support is excellent and the trading is pretty easy on line.
As some jerks who like to feel self important have pointed out in a snobby manner, as if they knew their back pocket from a hole in the ground, those trade facilitators are the broker, but that really doesn’t matter for the question because you make your own deals and they execute what you order and you don’t even have to talk to them, which is what you were talking about of course. It was just opportune for some small petty people to feel superior by correcting you. Maybe they will go out and find some miss spellings now, or find someone to tell that they should go get a licensed professional for anything … don’t worry about them, they are idiots.
